The BLT always pays back 80% on all division and championship tournaments. We actually pay back more than 80% with cash and prizes, and that's not including boat manufacturers' incentives or other sponsor's bonus programs.

The BLT operates on 20% of entry fees, and passes 100% of all sponsors' money and prizes to the anglers.

Teams / Individuals that place "last in the money" have the option of a cash payout, or a cash/product combo. Anglers may choose from American Rodsmiths rods or Navionics chips, both valued at $150 retail price, for $75 of their cash payout (half price). The cash taken out is used towards the championship boats.
